I'm Chris Cerne. stalactech is where I publish research as I do it: language-model experiments, decompiler internals, and vulnerability write-ups. The point is sharing discoveries with the research community, not a pitch.
By day I'm a Security Engineer at Meta (at Meta since November 2025; in this role since June 2026). Before that: Senior Security Consultant at Stratum Security (August 2023–2025), and Security Consultant at Bishop Fox (January 2022–August 2023).
Independent vulnerability research includes credited CVEs CVE-2020-8797, CVE-2020-8798, and CVE-2020-12123 through CVE-2020-12127, plus participation in the Synack Red Team and Google's Vulnerability Reward Program. Bug reports and disclosures live under vulnerability research.
Education: Virginia Tech, B.S. Computer Science, 2021.
